Executive Director

Janet Stoney recently joined Alpha Houston in June 2007, as the new Executive Director. Janet attended her first Alpha introduction talk in September of 2005; and since has continually been a part of the Alpha course and outreach ministry at her church. Janet and her family are members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pasadena, Texas, where she is involved with the prayer ministry, on the board of evangelism, Sunday School education and several other activities. Janet is also enrolled in FIND program, a three year course of study to become a Spiritual Director. Janet relies on her faith and the Holy Spirit to guide and direct her in all areas of her life.

Janet has spent the last year and a half working for a regional non profit organization specializing in economic development of the southeast Houston region. Janet spent much of her time managing contracts between 12 cities and two counties and coordinating reports of activities the partnership participated in. She also has five years of HR experience; she worked for Meador Staffing Services as an office coordinator and staffing consultant. Her dedication to enhancing the community through employee assistance, church ministries and the overall aspects of the Houston region?s quality of life, is what lead her to the Executive Director role at Alpha Houston.

Janet has two sons ages seven and five. They live in the Deer Park area and enjoy spending time together watching baseball and participating in outside water activities.

Carol Flemming

Director of Special Events

Carol Flemming began working with the Alpha Houston Office as the Event Coordinator in the Spring of 2006 and took her first Alpha course the summer of '06. Carol has been a member of Houston's First Baptist Church since early 2006, after she graduated from Texas A&M in College Station. Carol is shared employee with Kaiserhof Retreat Center, another non-profit organization, which is the location of Alpha Houston's Joint Weekend Away in the fall. Her dedication to the Lord and the people in the city is what helps her plan activities to make Jesus known and better known.

Carol lives in the Tomball/Spring area and enjoys spending time with her new husband, neices & nephew, and of course loves to shop.
